Why is American Sign Language Important?
American Sign Language is important as there are over 350,000 Canadians who are deaf and over 3.2 million Canadians who are hard of hearing. There are many benefits with learning ASL: increased communication, deeper understanding of the community, and greater job opportunities.
Our Mission
To provide and a quick, easy and accessible resource for anyone who is interested in learning the basics of American Sign Language. Although this was a simple project and only reviews the alphabet of ASL, we hope that it inspires those that do not know much about the struggles of the deaf community and begin many peoples journey towards learning the language.
